Mom of NYC man accused of torturing, killing girlfriend allegedly cleaned gruesome crime scene

The arrest of Naida Jorge, the mother of a man suspected of torturing and killing his girlfriend, has shed light on the gruesome details of the crime. Naida Jorge, 54, has been charged with murder, manslaughter, hindering prosecution, concealment of a human corpse, and tampering with physical evidence in connection with the death of 21-year-old Princesa Encarnacion-Soto.

According to NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny, Naida Jorge attempted to clean up the crime scene after her son, Robert Strother, allegedly tortured and killed Princesa Encarnacion-Soto. Police are still searching for Robert Strother, who is believed to be the prime suspect in the murder.

Princesa Encarnacion-Soto was found barely breathing on a staircase in the Bronx, with signs of extensive bruising and torture. She had been tied up, stabbed from head to toe, and possibly beaten with a hammer before being left on the stairs. The wounds inflicted on her were for pain rather than to kill, indicating a sadistic and prolonged attack.

Investigators discovered a trail of blood leading to the Grand Concourse apartment where Strother and his mother lived. It is believed that the young woman was subjected to repeated torture inside the apartment before her body was dumped on the staircase. The crime scene showed signs of a struggle, with slice marks on her thighs, upper arms, and shoulders.

Princesa Encarnacion-Soto had recently returned to the Bronx after leaving Strother and traveling to Rhode Island. She was living with him and his mother at the time of her death. Strother, who was captured on security cameras leaving the building, remains at large.

In a disturbing twist, it was revealed that Strother had previously called the police in May to report that Encarnacion-Soto had been raped by a group of men on the roof of the building. However, investigators later determined that the report was false and may have been an attempt to cover up the abuse that the young woman was enduring in the apartment.

The case has shocked the community and raised questions about the role of Naida Jorge in the murder of Princesa Encarnacion-Soto. As the investigation continues, authorities are working to bring Robert Strother to justice for the heinous crime.
