Jax Taylor Quits Los Angeles Bar Partnership After The Valley Exit
Jax Taylor has recently made the decision to end his affiliation with his Los Angeles bar, Jax’s Studio City, following his departure from the reality show, The Valley. A spokesperson for Jax confirmed that this move was made in order to prioritize his sobriety and mental health, which are important aspects of his well-being.
The news of Jax’s departure from The Valley came after Bravo fan accounts noticed that his name had been removed from the marquee signage at the Studio City establishment on July 26. Jax had already revealed to Us Weekly on July 16 that he would not be returning for the third season of The Valley, citing the need to focus on his sobriety, mental health, and coparenting with his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, for their son, Cruz.
Although Jax clarified that his departure from The Valley was more of a “pause” than a complete break from the show, he explained on his podcast that it didn’t seem wise to return to filming amidst drama with Brittany. The couple had filed for divorce during the filming of The Valley season 2, and Jax felt that reopening old wounds on camera would not be beneficial for anyone involved.
Brittany, on the other hand, expressed her support for Jax’s decision to step away from The Valley, stating that she only found out about it the night before it was announced. She believed it was a positive move for everyone involved.
Jax’s longtime Vanderpump Rules costar, Scheana Shay, also voiced her support for his decision, calling it a “healthy choice” for him to prioritize his mental health and sobriety. She emphasized the importance of Jax focusing on himself during this time and hoped that he would continue on a positive path for the sake of himself, Cruz, and Brittany.
The Valley airs on Bravo on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET, and viewers can stream older episodes on Peacock. Jax’s decision to step away from the show has sparked discussions about the importance of prioritizing mental health and sobriety, especially in the fast-paced world of reality television.
