Roku TV Free Upgrade: Four New Features Rolling Out Now

Roku has recently announced four new features to enhance the streaming experience for users of Roku devices. These updates aim to make it easier for users to discover new shows and films, providing them with more options for entertainment.

One of the new features is the Top 10 Trending Lists in the New & Popular section. These lists showcase the most searched-for movies and TV shows on the platform, updated daily to keep users informed about what’s popular in the world of entertainment.

The Movie Night feature allows users to plan their future film binges by adding titles to their Save List. While exclusive cinema releases may not be available, users can save these titles for easy access once they become available for streaming. Additionally, users can watch trailers of these films to help them decide whether to save them or not.

For users overwhelmed by the vast amount of free content on The Roku Channel, Surf Mode uses AI to curate short clips of shows and films based on their preferences. These clips are tailored to the user’s tastes, ensuring that they are relevant and enjoyable.

The Live TV feature is also getting a refresh, allowing users to access the latest free live channels on the Newly Added section of the TV guide. This update provides users with more options for watching live TV on their Roku devices.

These new features come on the heels of the launch of two new Roku devices, the Roku Streaming Stick and Roku Streaming Stick Plus, as well as three major updates to Roku TV models in the UK. These updates aim to make navigation easier for users and enhance their overall streaming experience.

It is worth noting that these updates have been announced for US devices, but Roku has not confirmed whether they will also roll out on UK devices. Users can check the Roku website for a full list of compatible devices and stay tuned for any further announcements from Roku regarding these updates.
