Caio Borralho praises Anthony Hernandez for stepping up when “no one wanted to fight” him

Caio Borralho recently praised Anthony Hernandez for his willingness to fight him, even when others refused. Borralho shared that after he called out Hernandez on social media earlier this year, ‘Fluffy’ privately messaged him and accepted the challenge. Hernandez is fresh off a remarkable fourth-round submission victory over Roman Dolidze at UFC Vegas 109 last month and is set to face Reinier de Ridder at UFC Vancouver in October. On the other hand, Borralho is scheduled to fight Nassourdine Imavov at UFC Paris this weekend after securing a unanimous decision win over Jared Cannonier at UFC Vegas 96 last August.

While both fighters have their upcoming bouts lined up, it appears that they were actively discussing a potential fight earlier this year. In an interview with Full Violence, Borralho commended ‘Fluffy’ for his eagerness to face him, stating, "I love the style of this guy [Hernandez]. He’s a nice guy… Actually, when nobody wanted to fight me, I said his name on Twitter, on X, but he doesn’t have X. Someone sent it to him on Instagram. He came to me on Instagram and said, ‘Boy, I saw that you called my name. Let’s do this fight. Let’s go.’ And I was like, ‘Fk yeah, man. That’s what I’m talking about. Let’s do this. Respectfully, but let’s fing do this. That’s what we do, we fight… He was the only one."

In another development, Israel Adesanya shared his prediction for the upcoming fight between Nassourdine Imavov and Caio Borralho at UFC Paris. The former UFC middleweight champion believes that Borralho will emerge victorious via unanimous decision. Adesanya highlighted Borralho’s striking skills and southpaw stance as key factors in his favor, while acknowledging Imavov’s excellent timing in his attacks. Despite the home-court advantage for Imavov fighting in France, Adesanya feels that Borralho will have the edge in this well-matched fight.

In conclusion, the MMA community eagerly anticipates the showdown between Nassourdine Imavov and Caio Borralho at UFC Paris, with both fighters showcasing their skills and determination. Stay tuned for an action-packed event as these talented athletes go head-to-head in the octagon.
