Sicko rapes teen sitting on NYC park bench – in second random sex attack in two days: cops

The Bronx was shaken by two heinous attacks in as many days, with one sicko raping a 19-year-old woman on a bench and another predator assaulting a 33-year-old woman. The first incident occurred early Wednesday morning at Park Avenue and East 183rd Street in Belmont. The perpetrator, wearing all black with his hood up, exposed himself and grabbed the young woman before raping her. The victim refused medical attention at the scene.

The following day, Nicholas Dejesus, 42, attacked a woman on Broadway near West 230th Street in Kingsbridge. He grabbed the woman’s neck from behind and threatened to kill her if she didn’t comply. Despite her resistance, Dejesus punched her in the face, leaving her dazed before assaulting her. Dejesus, who was on parole for robbery, was arrested and charged with rape, sexual abuse, assault, and harassment.

These incidents highlight a concerning trend in the Bronx, with a 27.5% increase in reported rapes compared to the previous year. Citywide statistics also show a 21% increase in reported rapes across all five boroughs. The NYPD is working diligently to address these issues and ensure the safety of all residents.

The community is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities. Together, we can work towards creating a safer environment for everyone.
