New Orleans Saint Cam Jordan’s home burglarized during NFL game

Cam Jordan, a defensive end for the New Orleans Saints, fell victim to a burglary at his Louisiana home while he was away playing a game. The incident took place on September 14th, during the Saints’ game against the San Francisco 49ers. The burglars broke into Jordan’s Metairie home while he was on the field, targeting high-profile individuals like NFL players during away games.

Fortunately, Jordan’s wife was not at home during the break-in and contacted the police once she discovered the intrusion. The burglars used a rented vehicle to travel nearly 500 miles from Atlanta, Georgia, to Jordan’s residence in New Orleans. They then drove back to the Atlanta area, covering another 500 miles on the same night. The stolen property was later recovered by police in Conyers, Georgia, within 24 hours of the burglary.

Two suspects, Donald Robinson and Jarod Brown, were apprehended by Conyers police and arrested by Jefferson Parish detectives. However, two other individuals, Jahaun Suber and Devell Ortiz, were identified as suspects still at large. The authorities are working with the FBI to locate and apprehend these fugitives.

While charges have not been officially filed against the suspects, it is expected that they will face charges of simple burglary and possession of stolen property. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is determined to bring these individuals to justice, with Sheriff Lopinto expressing confidence in their efforts to capture them.

In a light-hearted comment, Sheriff Lopinto mentioned how his detectives were on the case like Cam Jordan rushing after a quarterback. The investigation is ongoing, and the authorities are committed to ensuring that justice is served. Despite the unfortunate incident, Cam Jordan remains focused on his football career, contributing to the Saints’ defense with his impressive performance on the field.

This incident is not the first time an NFL player has been targeted during a game. In a similar incident in December 2024, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s home was broken into while he was playing against the Dallas Cowboys. The burglars ransacked a bedroom in Burrow’s residence, highlighting the vulnerability of high-profile athletes during away games.
