FBI Director Kash Patel criticized ESPN sportscaster Stephen A. Smith during a Fox News interview, labeling his comments as the “single dumbest thing I’ve ever heard out of anyone in modern history.”

Patel confronted Smith’s theory on the federal crackdown of a major gambling ring, which led to the arrests of NBA figures like Chauncey Billups and Terry Rozier alongside members of New York mafia families.

Smith speculated that President Trump orchestrated the arrests as part of a vendetta against the sports world for protests against him, hinting that the WNBA could be next on Trump’s target list.

On “The Ingraham Angle,” Patel unequivocally denied Smith’s claims when asked by host Laura Ingraham, dismissing them as absurd and baseless.

Patel slammed Smith’s remarks as the “single dumbest thing” he’s ever heard, taking a dig at individuals residing in Washington D.C.

Emphatically, Patel asserted that he alone supervised the arrests of over 30 individuals across 11 states in a case involving wire fraud, money laundering, extortion, robbery, and illegal gambling.

It’s now up to Stephen to respond to Patel’s challenge.
