Emily in Paris’ Lucas Bravo Addresses His Absence From Season 5 Trailer
Lucas Bravo, who plays Gabriel in the popular Netflix series Emily in Paris, will be returning for season 5. Fans were surprised to see his absence in the recent trailer released by Netflix, which focused on Emily’s romance with Marcello after she moved to Rome at the end of season 4.
In a recent interview with E! News, Bravo hinted at the mystery surrounding his character’s absence in the trailer, stating, “I like the fact that I’m not in the trailer and that it creates a conversation, and I’m gonna keep the conversation running. I won’t say anything.” Despite not appearing in the trailer, it has been confirmed that Bravo filmed scenes for season 5 when production began in May. Some scenes were even shot in Rome, where Emily takes on a new job.
Bravo has been vocal about his frustrations with the direction of his character, Gabriel, in the series. In an interview with IndieWire, he expressed disappointment with how Gabriel had evolved over the seasons, feeling that the character had lost his charm and become a victim of manipulation in the storyline. Bravo hinted at the possibility of stepping away from the show, stating, “It makes me question if I want to be part of season 5 — because my contract ends at season 4.”
Despite Bravo’s concerns, fans can still look forward to seeing him in season 5 of Emily in Paris, which is set to premiere on Netflix on Thursday, December 18. The show’s return is highly anticipated, and viewers will have to wait to see how Gabriel’s character unfolds in the upcoming season. Stay tuned for more updates on Emily in Paris and the return of Lucas Bravo as Gabriel.
