Led by Hassan Al Thawadi, who successfully oversaw the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the Film Committee is dedicated to driving growth and development in the country’s entertainment landscape. The announcement was made during the inaugural Doha Film Festival’s Industry Days, where several exciting developments were revealed. These include the launch of a regional production rebate offering up to 50% in cash, as well as production deals with top U.S. studios such as Neon, Miramax, and Sony. Additionally, Hollywood’s post-production and VFX giant, Company 3, will be setting up a post-production and VFX studio in Doha.
