OnePlus has officially announced the launch date for its upcoming mid-range smartphone, the OnePlus 15R. However, the real excitement lies in the additional devices being unveiled alongside it.
The OnePlus 15 recently hit the market to positive reviews, but the OnePlus 15R is expected to offer exceptional battery life with slightly lower performance, all at a more affordable price point.
While specific details about the OnePlus 15R are still scarce, OnePlus has confirmed a global launch date of December 17, 2025.
Here’s what we know about the OnePlus 15R so far, along with another device that is generating significant interest.
What to expect from the OnePlus 15R
At this point, OnePlus has only revealed that the OnePlus 15R will be available in two color options – Charcoal Black and Mint Breeze – and will feature a “flat metal mid-frame”. The phone will also come with various water and dust resistance ratings, including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K.
The design of the OnePlus 15R bears resemblance to the OnePlus Ace 6, already launched in China.
The OnePlus Ace 6 debuted with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a massive 7800mAh battery, 120W fast charging, a 50MP primary camera, and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. Will the OnePlus 15R follow a similar spec sheet or introduce new features?

The OnePlus Watch Lite deserves plenty of attention
While the OnePlus 15R is garnering attention, another device scheduled for launch on December 17 is the OnePlus Watch Lite. Described as a device that will bring top-tier health and fitness features to a more affordable price range, the Watch Lite holds significant promise.
It is expected that the Watch Lite will be priced lower than the OnePlus Watch 3, which retails for £319/$349.99. The availability of the Watch Lite in the US market remains unclear.
Although OnePlus has not disclosed detailed specifications of the Watch Lite, the design showcased suggests similarities to its premium counterpart.
Expected downgrades compared to the Watch 3 raise questions about the areas where compromises will be made. Will the Watch Lite operate on Wear OS? Alternatively, could it be a OnePlus-branded equivalent of the Oppo Watch S, a sleek alternative to the Oppo Watch 2 launched recently?
Despite uncertainties, the introduction of an affordable smartwatch is welcomed. Given the success of the Watch 3, the Watch Lite has the potential to be a strong competitor in its price segment.
Accompanying the OnePlus Watch Lite is the OnePlus Pad Go 2, positioned as a budget-friendly alternative to the OnePlus Pad 3. The exact pricing and features of the Pad Go 2 are yet to be revealed.
