Mob of teen e-bikers brutally attack random stranger — then snap pic of him, thinking he’s dead: reports

Teen E-Bikers Brutally Attack Man in Hermosa Beach, California

Recently, a disturbing incident occurred in the affluent neighborhood of Hermosa Beach, California, where a mob of teen e-bikers brutally beat a random stranger as he was walking home. The victim, a man in his 60s, was targeted by a group of about six individuals who surrounded him and demanded the pizza he was carrying, as seen in surveillance footage.

Without warning, the teens began assaulting the man, punching, kicking, and stomping on him as he lay defenseless on the ground. Shockingly, one of the attackers even used the victim’s pizza box to strike him over the head. The violent assault was captured on camera, revealing the heinous nature of the attack.

After the brutal assault, the attackers fled the scene on their e-bikes, with some even taking a photo of the victim, believing he was dead. Fortunately, the man survived the ordeal and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Despite the severity of the attack, he has since been discharged from the hospital.

Witnesses reported overhearing the teens plotting to attack a random stranger moments before the incident. According to Matt Terrill, who spoke to Fox 11, the group had planned to target an unsuspecting individual for their violent act.

Local residents have expressed concern over the prevalence of gangs riding e-bikes in the area, citing ongoing trouble caused by these groups. Geoff Van Sickle, the owner of Strand Electric Bike Company in Hermosa Beach, highlighted the disruptive behavior of these teens, who often ride in packs and use non-street-legal electric dirt bikes.

Another resident, Hart Cardozo, shared his own harrowing experience of being ambushed by teenagers last month, resulting in a traumatic attack that left him with severe injuries. Cardozo emphasized the need for these perpetrators to be held accountable and for parents to take responsibility for their children’s actions.

Following these incidents, the Hermosa Police Department has launched investigations into the attacks to ensure that justice is served and the community remains safe. The incidents serve as a stark reminder of the need to address youth violence and hold individuals accountable for their actions.
