Brutal Machete Attack Leaves Two Men Injured at Bronx Subway Station

Two men were viciously attacked by a machete-wielding assailant at the West Farms Square-East Tremont Avenue subway station in the Bronx on Sunday afternoon. The violent attacker remains at large, as police continue their search for the suspect.

The incident unfolded around 4:40 p.m. when the NYPD received a 911 call reporting the assault at the subway station. Upon arrival, officers found two men who had been targeted by the unidentified individual wielding a machete.

During the attack, a 44-year-old man sustained a slash to his wrist, while a 32-year-old man was slashed in the face and had his cell phone stolen. Both victims were rushed to St Barnabas Hospital and are currently in stable condition.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the assault. The NYPD is actively investigating the incident and seeking any leads that may help identify and apprehend the perpetrator.
