Long Island sicko allegedly raped, robbed 12-year-old boy

A disturbing incident occurred earlier this month in Amityville, Long Island, when a 12-year-old boy was allegedly raped and robbed by a 34-year-old man he met on a dating app. The suspect, Marquise Utsey, reportedly showed up at the boy’s home while he was alone and proceeded to sexually assault him before demanding money from the terrified child.

The young victim, fearing for his safety, complied with Utsey’s demands and handed over money he found in a family member’s bedroom. Utsey, described as a complete stranger to the boy, had apparently groomed him on a social networking and dating mobile app, exploiting the child for his own sick purposes.

Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney condemned Utsey’s actions as “utterly reprehensible” and a “profound betrayal of human decency.” The suspect fled the scene after the assault, leaving the boy to reveal the disturbing details to his parents upon their return home. The authorities were immediately contacted, leading to Utsey’s arrest and subsequent charges of rape, sexual abuse, robbery, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Utsey, a resident of Massapequa, is currently held on a $750,000 cash bond after being indicted on Tuesday. If convicted, he could face up to 25 years in prison for his heinous crimes. The case serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by online predators and the importance of vigilance when it comes to children’s online activities.
