Denargo Market to open over 17,000-square-foot beer garden in 2026
Hopscotch Beer Garden Coming to Denargo Market in Denver’s River North Art District
The Hopscotch Beer Garden is set to open next year at Denargo Market in Denver’s River North Art District, marking a significant milestone for the development and the surrounding neighborhood. According to Laura Newman, vice president of investment and development at Golub & Co, Hopscotch will be one of the first food and beverage concepts to serve the area, transforming it into a vibrant community hub.
Developed by Golub and FORMATIV and operated by DrinkDenver, Hopscotch will offer draft beer, wine, kombucha, canned cocktails, light bites, and a rotating schedule of food trucks. The beer garden, located at 3380 Denargo St. and designed in collaboration with Sasaki, will span over 17,000 square feet, providing casual outdoor seating, seasonal programming, and weekly events.
The venue will feature a heated tent for colder seasons, flexible event space, and a turf lawn for games like volleyball, soccer, and badminton. The half-acre green lawn adjacent to Hopscotch will also host community-focused events such as watch parties, trivia nights, happy hours, and fitness activities.
On-leash dogs will be welcome at Hopscotch, creating a community-first gathering place for nearby residents and neighbors to socialize and connect. Alison Nestel-Patt, director of development and user experience at FORMATIV, envisions Hopscotch as the go-to neighborhood spot that fosters connectivity and energy for Denargo Market and Denver as a whole.

Operating hours for Hopscotch are Thursdays and Fridays from 2-10 p.m., Saturdays from noon to 10 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 7 p.m.
Denargo Market, spanning 17 acres along the South Platte riverfront, is poised to offer 3 million square feet of development, including residential, retail, office, and hospitality spaces, as well as public art. Construction and amenities like sports courts, a dog park, and public space have been steadily rolling out since September 2023, enhancing the area’s appeal and vibrancy.
As part of the development, Denargo Market has donated land for a 56-unit affordable housing project serving young adults transitioning from foster care or experiencing homelessness.
