Apple CEO Pours $2,940,000 Into Stock That Billionaire Paul Tudor Jones Has Placed Massive Bullish Bet On

Apple CEO Tim Cook recently made a significant investment in Nike, acquiring 50,000 shares of the athletic firm’s Class B common stock at $58.97 per share. This purchase amounted to $2.94 million and brought Cook’s total ownership of Nike shares to 105,480, valued at approximately $5.50 million based on current prices. Despite Nike’s stock price falling by over 60% in the past four years, Cook’s move signals confidence in the company’s future prospects.

Cook is not the only prominent figure showing optimism towards Nike. Billionaire investor Paul Tudor Jones’s Tudor Investment also made a notable investment in the company, placing call options covering more than 1 million shares of NKE worth $71.63 million in the third quarter of 2025. Additionally, Tudor Investment holds 140,700 NKE puts valued at $9.811 million as a hedge, along with 26,447 Nike shares worth $1.844 million. The investment firm’s strategic use of options trading reflects a bullish outlook on Nike’s performance moving forward.

In options trading, a call option grants the buyer the right, but not the obligation, to purchase an asset at a predetermined strike price. This is typically done when the buyer anticipates a rise in the asset’s price. On the other hand, a put option can act as a safeguard for an entity’s primary stock holdings in case the asset’s price falls below the strike price.

As of now, Nike’s stock is trading at $63.10, with its Class B common stock priced at $52.22. Despite the company’s recent challenges, both Tim Cook and Paul Tudor Jones see potential in Nike’s future growth and are backing their confidence with substantial investments.
