Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra 60W Fast Charging Test Result Leaked

Samsung is gearing up to release its highly anticipated Galaxy S26 smartphones, with the Ultra model receiving a notable upgrade in terms of charging capabilities. The previous 45W charging is rumored to be upgraded to a faster 60W charging speed, which initially seemed like a significant enhancement for the device. However, new information has surfaced that suggests otherwise.

According to charging test results shared by Ice Universe, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is capable of reaching 75% battery capacity in just 30 minutes with the new 60W charger. While this may sound impressive, it is important to note that the improvement is not as substantial as initially expected. Under normal conditions, the Galaxy S25 Ultra was able to achieve a 70% charge in the same amount of time, with some sources even reporting slightly better results. The marginal increase of a few percentage points for an extra 15W of charging power may not be as groundbreaking as anticipated.

It is also worth mentioning that the faster charging speed of 60W is likely to be exclusive to the Galaxy S26 Ultra model, while the standard Galaxy S26 and S26+ are expected to stick with 25W and 45W charging speeds, respectively. The exact size of the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s battery remains uncertain, with rumors suggesting a slight increase to 5200mAh or possibly sticking with the current 5000mAh capacity.

Despite the somewhat underwhelming charging upgrade, there is hope for a significant improvement in wireless charging capabilities. Reports suggest that wireless charging on the Galaxy S26 series could see a jump from 15W to 25W, with the possibility of Qi2 magnetic charging technology being integrated into the devices. This advancement would bring Samsung closer to competitors like the Google Pixel 10 series, which already feature built-in Qi2 (or Pixelsnap) wireless charging.

The official launch of the Galaxy S26 range is expected to take place on February 25th, where more details about the devices’ features and specifications will be revealed. Stay tuned for updates on Samsung’s latest flagship smartphones.
