Timothy Busfield’s accusers initially said he didn’t touch them: report
Actor Timothy Busfield Accused of Sexual Misconduct by Underage Twin Boys
Recently released police audio recordings have shed new light on the allegations of sexual misconduct against actor Timothy Busfield by underage twin boys. The 11-year-old child actors, known as V.L and S.L, initially told investigators that Busfield did not touch them inappropriately during a police interview in November 2024.
In the audio obtained by TMZ, the boys can be heard denying any inappropriate touching by Busfield. When asked by the officer if anyone can touch their private areas, both boys responded affirmatively. They went on to specifically deny that Busfield had ever touched their private parts, with one of the boys, S.L, stating, “But he didn’t touch that part,” and the other, V.L, adding, “No, he’s never touched me.”
Busfield’s attorney presented the audio in a New Mexico court, arguing that it serves as an “unequivocal denial” of the allegations made against the actor. The audio was submitted as part of a hearing to determine whether Busfield will be released on bail pending trial.
According to a criminal complaint, one of the boys reportedly told a therapist that Busfield had touched his penis and bottom, as relayed by the child’s mother. However, Busfield’s defense team maintains that both boys consistently denied any abuse by the actor during their interviews with the police.
Prosecutors, on the other hand, have suggested that the audio only shows the boys failing to disclose any abuse, leaving room for interpretation.
The outcome of the hearing scheduled for Tuesday will have significant implications for Busfield’s legal proceedings moving forward. As the case continues to unfold, the conflicting accounts and evidence underscore the complexity of the allegations and the challenges of navigating such sensitive and serious accusations.
