‘Heated Rivalry,’ Cynthia Erivo and Lady Gaga Win Queerties Awards

The 14th annual LGBTQ Queerties Awards took place on Tuesday night in Los Angeles, honoring some of the biggest names in the LGBTQ community. Among the winners were Jonathan Bailey, Lady Gaga, and Cynthia Erivo, who all took home prestigious awards for their outstanding contributions.

“Heated Rivalry” was crowned as the best TV Drama, showcasing the intense competition in the LGBTQ community. Jonathan Bailey was honored with the Badass award, a top accolade at the ceremony. Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra” was named the best anthem, while Cynthia Erivo received two awards for her exceptional work in “Wicked: For Good” and her memoir “Simply More.”

Special recognition was also given to Margaret Cho, who received the Icon Award, Megan Stalter who was honored with the Vanguard Award, and Mae Martin who received the Groundbreaker Award. The ceremony was hosted by Trixie Mattel and will be available for streaming on WOW Presents Plus starting March 19.

Scott Gatz, CEO of Q.Digital, the parent company of Queerty, emphasized the importance of the Queerties in representing the true voice of the LGBTQ community. He mentioned that the winners were chosen by millions of LGBTQ+ individuals and allies who see themselves mirrored in these stories, performances, and cultural moments.

The list of winners also included various categories such as Drag Royalty, Future All-Star, Podcast, TikToker, Insta-follow, Comic, Theater, Breakout Musical Artist, Music Video, Comedy Movie, Drama Movie, TV Comedy, TV Performance, Reality TV, Sports Hero, Style Icon, Digital Series, Reality TV Star, and Next Big Thing.

Overall, the LGBTQ Queerties Awards celebrated the diversity and talent within the LGBTQ community, shining a spotlight on individuals and projects that have made a significant impact. The event served as a platform for recognition and appreciation of the contributions made by LGBTQ individuals in various fields.
