Hulu Releases Official Trailer for “Malcolm in the Middle” Revival
Hulu has unveiled the much-anticipated trailer for its upcoming “Malcolm in the Middle” revival, scheduled to premiere on April 10. The four-episode limited series, titled “Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair,” will see the return of almost all the original show’s main cast members.
The revival will feature Frankie Muniz reprising his role as Malcolm, alongside Jane Kaczmarek as Lois, Bryan Cranston as Hal, Chris Masterson as Francis, Justin Berfield as Reese, and Emy Coligado as Piama. Notably, Caleb Ellsworth-Clark will take on the role of Dewey, Malcolm’s younger brother.
Joining the cast are new members Keeley Karsten, Kiana Madeira, and Vaughan Murrae in key roles. The series will explore Malcolm’s reentry into his family’s lives after years of separation, triggered by his parents’ 40th-anniversary celebration.
Original creator Linwood Boomer returns as the writer and executive producer of the revival, with Bryan Cranston and others also serving as executive producers. The series is directed by Ken Kwapis and produced by Disney Branded Television in association with 20th Television.
Initially announced in December 2024, “Malcolm in the Middle” originally aired on Fox for seven seasons, garnering critical acclaim and multiple Emmy nominations. The entire original series is currently available for streaming on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers.
