“Saturday Night Live U.K.” Extends Inaugural Season with Two Additional Episodes

The highly anticipated “Saturday Night Live U.K.” has announced the addition of two more episodes to its inaugural season, bringing the total number of shows to eight. The Sky series is set to premiere live from London on Saturday at 10 p.m. local time, with the iconic Tina Fey hosting and British rockers Wet Leg as the musical guest. Following this exciting premiere, Jamie Dornan will take on hosting duties on March 21, accompanied by musical guest Wolf Alice. Riz Ahmed is set to host the April 4 show, with Kasabian performing as the musical guest.

Each episode of “Saturday Night Live U.K.” will run for 75 minutes and will be written, rehearsed, and filmed live in front of a studio audience during the week of broadcast. The show promises to infuse a distinctively British flair into the format of “SNL,” while still including beloved segments like the opening monologue and “Weekend Update.”

In addition to the rotating lineup of hosts, “SNL U.K.” will feature a talented cast including Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi, and Paddy Young. “SNL U.K.” is being produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio’s U.K. production team and Broadway Video for Sky and NOW. The legendary Lorne Michaels is executive producing, with James Longman as lead producer, Liz Clare as director, and Daran Jonno Johnson as head writer. Fans in the U.K. can catch “SNL U.K.” live on Sky and the streaming service NOW, with episodes available on Peacock the following day for viewers in the U.S.
