Karoline Leavitt Cracks Up Critics With Her ‘Obviously…’ Defense Of Trump
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt caused a stir on Wednesday with her latest statement regarding former President Donald Trump.
During a press briefing, Leavitt was pressed to clarify which aspects of the Trump administration’s reported 15-point ceasefire plan with Iran she believes are inaccurate.
“If it came from the President of the United States, then it must be true,” Leavitt asserted, defending the objectives of the White House’s Operation Eric Fury, which officials have been evasive about discussing, stating that they had already been outlined “from this podium” and by the Pentagon.
Her “obviously it’s true” comment sparked a strong reaction on social media.
Many critics responded with laughing emojis, while others referenced previous fact-checking efforts on the president, such as a Washington Post analysis that revealed Trump had made over 30,000 false or misleading statements during his first term.
