Johnny Depp’s Hollywood Vampires Fighting Promoter Over Axed Slovakia Concert
Johnny Depp’s band Hollywood Vampires is currently facing legal troubles over a scrapped concert in Europe. A concert promoter in Bratislava, Slovakia, has filed a lawsuit against the band, alleging that Depp, Alice Cooper, and Joe Perry cancelled a July 2023 concert despite being paid $277K in advance and never returning the money.
However, Hollywood Vampires is fighting back against the lawsuit, claiming that it should be dismissed due to a lack of personal jurisdiction. The band argues that the concert promoter did not establish that the federal court in Texas had the authority to handle the case.
The promoter alleges that Hollywood Vampires cancelled the concert last minute, citing inadequate venue conditions. But according to the promoter, the real reason for the cancellation was Johnny Depp’s alleged hospitalization for an undisclosed medical issue, described as “for personal reasons unrelated to the venue.”
The promoter claims to have demanded repayment from Hollywood Vampires but has not received any response. As a result, they have suffered financial losses and damage to their reputation in the industry.
We reached out to representatives for Hollywood Vampires for comment, but have not received a response at this time. It remains to be seen how this legal battle will unfold and what the outcome will be for Johnny Depp and his band.
