A tragic incident unfolded late Tuesday night in Harlem as a 36-year-old man was found shot multiple times near Central Park, ultimately succumbing to his injuries, according to police reports.

The victim, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was discovered with gunshot wounds to his torso outside a building close to the 110th Street-Malcolm X Plaza subway station. The shooting was reported around 10:20 p.m. when a concerned citizen dialed 911 to report the violent incident.

Upon arrival, NYPD officers and emergency medical services rushed to the scene to assist the victim. Despite their efforts, the man was in critical condition and was swiftly transported to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, where he tragically passed away.

The shooting took place outside 111 W. 110 St., a building complex housing apartments and a popular Dunkin’ Donuts outlet. The authorities have not made any arrests in connection with the incident as of Wednesday morning, and the investigation into the fatal shooting is ongoing.
