As the father searched for the house, Nasir Pitts, the armed teenager, took a shooting stance on the driver’s side of the vehicle and fired five shots, hitting the boy in the head.
Amidst chaos and panic, the father managed to speed away from the scene while the mother dialed 911 for help. Responding officers and paramedics quickly arrived, rushing the injured boy to the hospital. Doctors discovered a fractured skull and bullet fragments in his brain, causing temporary paralysis and ongoing medical treatment.
Further investigation revealed bullet holes in the family’s car, indicating the severity of the attack. Surveillance footage captured Pitts and an accomplice fleeing to a nearby residence post-shooting, aiding detectives in their search for the perpetrators.
