Luka Doncic leaves Lakers-Thunder with lower body injury
The Los Angeles Lakers faced a tough night at Paycom Center as star guard Luka Doncic suffered a left hamstring injury during the third quarter of what was becoming a blowout loss. Doncic was visibly limping after a drive attempt against Thunder wing Jalen Williams, ultimately laying down underneath the basket by the Thunders’ bench in pain.
It was evident that Doncic had aggravated a left hamstring issue that he had been dealing with since the first half but had tried to play through. Despite his efforts, the discomfort became too much to bear, forcing him to leave the game.
Doncic managed to walk off the court under his own power before heading back to the locker room for further evaluation. The severity of his injury and the impact on the Lakers’ lineup are yet to be determined.
