South Carolina baby boutique owner poses in 16 mugshots on scam charges

A South Carolina boutique owner has found herself in hot water once again, as Pamela Brooke Schronce was arrested for the 16th time for allegedly scamming customers at her upscale kids’ clothing store, Thomas and Turner in Belton. The 30-year-old entrepreneur was recently accused of swindling two online customers out of hundreds of dollars, leading to her latest stint behind bars.

According to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, Schronce is alleged to have taken more than $485 from the two customers without delivering their items or providing refunds. This marks just the latest in a string of legal troubles for the beleaguered boutique owner, who has faced a total of 16 arrests in just over three months.

Schronce’s boutique, which prided itself on offering custom-designed pieces for children, has since closed its doors. The shop, known for its trendy toddler bellbottoms and flower-print infant dresses, had cultivated a following on social media before its abrupt closure.

In the most recent case, a customer reported placing seven online orders totaling $487.07 between October 2024 and March 2025, only to never receive the items. Despite numerous attempts to contact Schronce for a refund, the customer was left empty-handed. Another victim came forward in March, reporting that a pre-ordered outfit never arrived, and a refund was never issued.

With a total of 16 arrests under her belt since the beginning of the year, Schronce has faced charges ranging from obtaining property under false pretenses to breach of trust with fraudulent intent. Despite her latest arrest, she was released from the Oconee County Detention Center on a $4,250 personal recognizance bond.

As the legal saga continues, Schronce’s boutique remains closed, leaving customers and followers to wonder about the fate of Thomas and Turner. Only time will tell if the embattled entrepreneur will be able to bounce back from her latest legal troubles.
