Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 Models Leaked

Samsung is rumored to be working on the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, the successor to its popular Galaxy Watch Ultra wearable. According to reports from Tech Advisor, the new smartwatch will be released in two variants to cater to different market segments. The model SM-L716 will come with 5G connectivity, while the SM-L715F variant will be without 5G to offer a more affordable option to consumers.

This dual-model strategy aims to broaden the appeal of the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and help Samsung compete against the likes of the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Garmin offerings. By offering a non-5G version, Samsung is looking to make the smartwatch more accessible to a wider range of consumers, building on the pricing strategy of the original Galaxy Watch Ultra, which started at £599/$649.

The inclusion of 5G connectivity in the SM-L716 model is not surprising, considering the feature was also highlighted in the Apple Watch Ultra 3. However, the revelation of a second model without 5G hints at Samsung’s efforts to provide a more budget-friendly option for customers. This move could be crucial in attracting early adopters and mitigating the impact of rising tech prices in the current economic climate.

The original Galaxy Watch Ultra was positioned as a more affordable alternative to the Apple Watch Ultra 2, but its price dropped significantly shortly after launch. With the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, Samsung aims to offer a competitive smartwatch that can rival the mapping features of the Apple Watch Ultra 3. Additionally, the company will face competition from Garmin, which has been incorporating premium features from its Fenix range into more affordable devices like the Garmin Venu X1 and Venu 4.

As Samsung continues to develop the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, consumers can expect a smartwatch with 5G connectivity in one variant and a more affordable option without 5G. With a focus on providing a robust feature set and competitive pricing, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 aims to appeal to a wide range of customers and establish itself as a strong contender in the smartwatch market.
