‘Welcome to Wrexham’ Renewed for Three More Seasons at FX, Hulu
FX has recently announced the renewal of the popular docuseries “Welcome to Wrexham” for an additional three seasons, extending the show’s run through at least its eighth season. The news comes just ahead of the premiere of Season 5, set to debut on FXX and Hulu on May 14th with the first two episodes, followed by weekly releases of new episodes.
President of FX Entertainment, Nick Grad, expressed excitement about the impact the show has had on both the club and the town, calling it one of TV’s most successful and beloved docuseries. He credited the vision of Rob and Ryan, the creators, for building an enduring connection with fans worldwide.
Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds, co-chairmen of Wrexham AFC, also shared their gratitude for the three-season renewal, emphasizing the groundbreaking work of the Emmy-winning documentary team and the remarkable journey of Wrexham AFC in making sports history. Season 5 of “Welcome to Wrexham” will focus on Wrexham AFC’s pursuit of promotion to the Premier League following three consecutive promotions, a feat never before achieved in English Football League history.
The docuseries is executive produced by Mac, Reynolds, and a team of talented individuals, including Josh Drisko, Bryan Rowland, and Jeff Luini. It is produced by More Better Productions, Maximum Effort, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Boardwalk Pictures.
