Critics Pounce After Trump Posts ‘Blasphemous’ New Image Of Himself
On Orthodox Easter, the president shared an image that portrays him as a figure resembling Jesus Christ. In the image, Trump is dressed in white robes with a red sash, emitting light from his hands. One hand is placed on a sick man in bed, who also radiates a healing light, while a woman observes the scene with hands clasped in prayer.
Additionally, the image features silhouettes of military figures in the sky, along with eagles, fighter jets, fireworks, a large flag, and other elements. Some characteristics of artificial intelligence, such as distorted fingers, the incorrect number of stars on the flag, and nonsensical text on a man’s hat, are present in the image as well.
However, portraying himself as a Christ-like figure sparked controversy and criticism. Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who was once a supporter of Trump but has since become a critic, described it as more than blasphemy, labeling it as an “Antichrist spirit.”
Individuals from various political backgrounds also condemned the president for sharing the image.
