Ben Sasse grateful to be in Rev Med’s pancreatic cancer drug trial| STAT

They’re really on the cutting edge. Pancreatic cancer is a really tough disease. It’s a really crummy diagnosis. And I think there’s a lot of people who don’t really want to tackle it because the survival rates are so low. So to see a drug like this, where there’s a shot that it might work, that’s a big deal.

I’m really grateful for the chance to be part of it. I feel really lucky. I know that this isn’t a cure, but it’s a huge step forward. I’ve been able to be present for my kids in ways I never would have thought possible. I’ve been able to do things with them, talk with them, spend time with them. And that’s been really important to me.

I think this trial is really important for the pancreatic cancer community. It gives people hope that there might be other options out there. It’s not just a death sentence anymore. There’s a chance for some real progress, some real improvement in survival rates. And that’s huge.

I’m just really grateful for the opportunity to be part of this trial. It’s given me more time, more quality time with my family. And that’s something I’ll never take for granted. Bob Wolff and Shubham Pant, along with the rest of the team at MD Anderson, have been instrumental in providing exceptional care during my time in a clinical trial. The purpose of these trials is not just about individual patient care, but also about gathering data to advance future clinical practices. I have come to understand the importance of this research in shaping the next generation of medical treatment.

I am truly grateful for the level of care and attention I have received from the team at MD Anderson. Their dedication and expertise have made a significant impact on my journey. Thanks to their support, I have been able to avoid long-term hospitalization and spend valuable time with my family outside of the hospital walls.

The experience at MD Anderson has been nothing short of amazing. The team’s commitment to providing top-notch care and support has been evident every step of the way. I am thankful for the opportunity to be part of a research trial that not only benefits me but also contributes to the greater good of advancing medical knowledge and improving patient outcomes.

I cannot express enough gratitude to Bob Wolff, Shubham Pant, and the entire team at MD Anderson for their exceptional care and dedication. Their efforts have made a significant difference in my life, and I am truly thankful for their support. I look forward to continuing my journey with their guidance and expertise, knowing that I am in good hands.

In conclusion, the care and treatment I have received at MD Anderson have been exceptional.
