Shooter at White House press dinner had multiple weapons, one officer shot
During the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, a man armed with multiple weapons attempted to charge a security checkpoint before being apprehended by U.S. Secret Service agents, according to President Donald Trump. Trump mentioned that one officer was shot but fortunately, the officer was wearing a high-quality bulletproof vest which saved his life.
Trump later confirmed that the officer shot was in good condition. The suspected shooter was identified as Cole Allen from Torrance, California, and is 31 years old according to reports.
