Buc-ee’s set to debut in 6 new states in major expansion push across US
A number of states are set to welcome their first Buc-ee’s locations by the end of next year, with two states expected to debut sites in 2026.
The popular Texas-based gas station chain, known for its large travel centers with clean facilities and unique beaver-themed products, is planning to open locations in Arizona and Arkansas later this year.
In addition to these openings, Buc-ee’s will also be expanding into Wisconsin, Louisiana, Kansas, and North Carolina in the coming year.
With the current 55 locations in 12 states, this planned expansion will bring Buc-ee’s presence to a total of 20 states.
According to a report by Fox 10 Phoenix, Arizona is preparing to launch its first Buc-ee’s store in Goodyear on June 22.
This location, situated near Interstate 10 and Bullard Avenue, will cover 74,000 square feet and offer 120 fueling stations.
A similar setup is in the works for Benton, Arkansas, with a planned grand opening in early to mid-August at the northwest corner of I-30 and State Highway 299.
Wisconsin’s first Buc-ee’s location is set for Oak Creek in early 2027, featuring 120 gas pumps across a 73,370-square-foot travel center at the southwest corner of I-94 and Elm Road.
Ruston, Louisiana, is aiming for a mid-2027 opening for its first Buc-ee’s site at the intersection of I-20 and Tarbutton Road, spanning over 70,000 square feet with more than 100 fuel pumps.
Kansas City will welcome Kansas’ first Buc-ee’s location in 2027, near I-70 and West Village Parkway, with a 74,000 square-foot gas station.
North Carolina’s first Buc-ee’s location in Mebane is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2027, marking the chain’s expansion into the Southeast.
While six states are preparing for their first Buc-ee’s locations, several states already home to the chain are also expecting additional sites.
Texas will inaugurate its 37th Buc-ee’s location in San Marcos in July, as reported by the Austin American-Statesman.
Other locations expected to open next year include Monroe County, Georgia; Lafayette, Louisiana; St. Lucie and Tallahassee, Florida; Gallaway, Tennessee; and Fayette County, Arkansas.
Oak Grove, Kentucky, is also on track to receive a Buc-ee’s location in 2027 or later, while West Memphis is now scheduled for June 2028, according to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette.
