Grammy Awards Nominations and Telecast Date Set for Move to ABC

The highly anticipated Grammy Awards ceremony is set to take place on Feb. 7, 2027, marking a significant shift as the event moves from its long-standing home on CBS to a new broadcasting partnership with ABC and Hulu in the U.S. This move comes after more than 50 years of the Grammys airing on CBS, and has sparked excitement and speculation among music fans and industry insiders alike.

Nominations for the 69th annual Grammy Awards will be unveiled on Nov. 16, with the ceremony itself scheduled to be broadcast live from the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles. While an official producer for the event has yet to be announced, it is widely expected that Ben Winston will continue in his role at the helm of the Grammys, a position he has held since 2021.

Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Grammys, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming ceremony, stating, “The Grammys are all about celebrating the music that moves the world, and this moment is built on exactly that. This is an exciting time for us as an organization — a new home and a bold new chapter for the Grammy Awards. We’re just getting started and the best is yet to come.”

Disney and ABC are gearing up for a major promotional campaign to highlight the Grammys’ transition to new platforms. Rita Ferro, Disney’s president of global advertising, emphasized the event’s significance to the company’s TV strategy for 2027, citing it as one of four major live events that will captivate audiences in the coming year.

The eligibility period for the 69th Grammy Awards spans from Aug. 31, 2025, to Aug. 31, 2026, with first-round nominations voting taking place from Oct. 12-22. Final round voting is scheduled for Dec. 10, 2026, through Jan. 7, 2027, leading up to the star-studded ceremony.

In a nod to the excitement surrounding the event, a photo of Bad Bunny accepting a trophy at the 2026 Grammy Awards is included, hinting at the anticipation and thrill of what’s to come in the music industry’s most prestigious night.

Stay tuned for more updates and announcements as the 69th Grammy Awards draw closer, promising a night of unforgettable performances, memorable moments, and well-deserved recognition for the talented artists who shape the landscape of modern music.
