Insiders release fresh details of Stephen Cloobeck’s arrest
Billionaire Stephen Cloobeck’s recent arrest has brought attention to his relationship with his Penthouse Pet fiancée, Adva Lavie. The California Post has confirmed that Cloobeck is facing charges related to tampering with witnesses in Lavie’s case.
According to a law enforcement source, Cloobeck is accused of trying to prevent multiple witnesses from testifying against Lavie, who is alleged to have stolen from older men she met on dating apps in Los Angeles. Cloobeck has been charged with several felony and misdemeanor counts, including attempting to prevent witnesses from testifying and making annoying telephone calls to victims and their attorneys.
The charging document alleges that Cloobeck used force and threats to dissuade witnesses like Michael Craine, Scott Thurman, and Mike Farag from testifying in Lavie’s trial. He also allegedly harassed Thurman’s attorney, Lou Shapiro, with threats of harm to him and his family.
If convicted on all counts, Cloobeck could face up to 11 years and 6 months in prison and fines of up to $30,000. Despite the charges against Lavie, Cloobeck has expressed his intention to marry her, stating that the wedding date is now a secret.
Lavie, who is currently wearing an ankle monitor as a condition of her release, has been fighting to have it removed to pursue her career opportunities. She has submitted racy modeling photos and letters from potential employers to the court to illustrate the impact of the ankle monitor on her career prospects.
Despite the legal challenges, Cloobeck proposed to Lavie at a Las Vegas fundraiser earlier this year, with the footage going viral. Lavie’s court case is expected to go to trial in May, and if convicted, she could face up to 11 years and 8 months in state prison.
Cloobeck has denied the charges against him, and his spokesperson has stated that they look forward to their day in court. He was arrested by West Hollywood deputies after turning himself in following a warrant, but was later released on a $300,000 bond.
The relationship between Cloobeck and Lavie has been marred by legal troubles, but they remain committed to each other despite the challenges. Lavie’s court case and Cloobeck’s legal battle are ongoing, and the outcome remains uncertain.
