JPMorgan Exec Lorna Hajdini Sues Chirayu Rana for Defamation
JPMorgan Chase executive Lorna Hajdini has taken legal action against former banker Chirayu Rana, accusing him of defamation by fabricating claims that she used him as her “sex slave.” The lawsuit was filed in the New York State Supreme Court.
The suit alleges that Rana orchestrated a campaign of false accusations that damaged Hajdini’s career and reputation, turning her life into a tabloid spectacle. Hajdini denies all allegations of unlawful conduct and asserts that the claims were malicious and fabricated.
Rana is accused of aiming to extort money from Hajdini and JPMorgan by peddling lies about her. The lawsuit also mentions previous similar allegations made by Rana in a previous job.
Hajdini seeks to vindicate her name and hold Rana accountable for his actions. JPMorgan has expressed full support for her in defending herself against the allegations.
Rana’s initial complaint sparked a scandal on Wall Street, but an internal investigation by JPMorgan found no evidence to support his claims. Rana had sought a large payout before leaving the bank.
Hajdini’s attorneys denied all allegations and revealed inconsistencies in Rana’s claims. Rana’s career in finance seems to be in jeopardy following the lawsuit.
Rana’s lawyer has been contacted for comment.
