Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra Will Look Just Like Google Pixel 10
The highly competitive flagship phone market is constantly evolving, with design playing a crucial role in setting brands apart. Samsung, a major player in the industry, is rumored to be making a significant change in the design of its upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra, specifically in the rear camera module.
Leaked images on Weibo, as reported by GizChina, suggest that the Galaxy S27 Ultra will feature a departure from the vertical camera arrangement seen in previous Galaxy S models. Renowned industry insider Ice Universe has also showcased a similar design on their X account, lending credibility to the leak. The reason behind this redesign is said to be the incorporation of inbuilt magnets for Qi2 wireless charging, which would have interfered with the previous camera layout.
The new design of the Galaxy S27 Ultra includes a large pill-shaped camera module that spans the top of the phone’s back, housing the three rear lenses and flash. This design shift brings Samsung more in line with Google’s Pixel phones, which have featured a horizontal camera bar since the Pixel 6 series. While Samsung’s move may draw comparisons to Google’s design, horizontal camera bars have been utilized by various brands in the past.
Interestingly, Samsung had previously adopted a similar camera arrangement on the Galaxy S10 series in 2019 before transitioning to a different design.
