Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce’s Madison Square Garden wedding could cost over $20M, luxury planner says
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are rumored to be tying the knot at Madison Square Garden in what could be a $20 million extravaganza, according to luxury wedding planner Sonal Shah. Shah estimates that just renting out the iconic venue on July 3, the reported day of the wedding, could cost between $1 million to $2.5 million. However, she emphasizes that the venue fee is just a fraction of the overall budget for a celebrity wedding of this magnitude.
With over two decades of experience in the industry and being named one of the best wedding planners in America by Brides magazine, Shah points out that hosting a wedding at Madison Square Garden involves more than just renting the space. The couple will need to hire a full staff, including a security team, which will come at a significant cost. Shah predicts that once production, security, catering, entertainment, and décor are factored in, the total cost could easily exceed $10 million to $20 million.
Page Six recently reported that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have chosen Madison Square Garden for their wedding due to the venue’s privacy and multiple entrances, allowing the couple and their guests to come and go discreetly. The Garden currently has no events scheduled from June 29 through July 6, making it an ideal choice for the star-studded affair.
In a departure from traditional paper invitations, Swift reportedly personally called her guests to invite them to the wedding. The guest list is said to include celebrities like Karlie Kloss, Zoë Kravitz, Ed Sheeran, the Haim sisters, Suki Waterhouse, Gigi Hadid, and Selena Gomez.
Known for her extravagant Fourth of July parties at her Rhode Island mansion, Swift is now set to host the biggest celebration of her life on the weekend of America’s 250th anniversary – her wedding to Kelce. With the rumored event shaping up to be a star-studded affair at one of the most iconic venues in the world, all eyes are on Madison Square Garden for what promises to be a wedding to remember.
