‘Elf’ actor Faizon Love in court for first appearance since Florida arrest
Actor Faizon Love Appears in Florida Court on Child Support Charges
Actor Faizon Love, known for his roles in movies like “Elf” and “Friday,” made his first appearance in a Florida courtroom on Friday after being arrested on an outstanding warrant related to child support issues.
The 58-year-old actor is facing two contempt of court charges in connection to a child support case with his ex-partner Tiffany Lee, who claims that Love owes $250,000 in arrears, as reported by TMZ.
Love has cited poverty as the reason for his alleged nonpayment, stating that he has only earned $13,000 in gross income over the last five years, with no income in 2025, according to Page Six.
Love was arrested on Tuesday and is currently being held without bond at Hillsborough County Jail. His mugshot shows a haggard and stone-faced expression following his arrest.
Notably, Love has had previous encounters with law enforcement, including several arrests for assault. In 2017, he pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge for assaulting a valet at an airport in Ohio, resulting in a fine and a suspended jail sentence. He was also accused of felony assault last year after allegedly throwing a credit card machine at a hotel clerk in San Diego.

Despite his legal troubles, Love has appeared in numerous movies, including “The Replacements” and “Couples Retreat.”
