Couple charged with gruesume murder of Atlanta bartender found dismembered in lake
Georgia Couple Arrested for Murdering Bartender and Dumping Dismembered Remains in Lake
A shocking crime has rocked a quiet neighborhood outside of Atlanta, Georgia, as Mario Andre Barber, 46, and Brittany Amber Baker, 42, have been accused of brutally murdering 37-year-old bartender Jamal Parker. The chilling details of the crime unfolded when Parker’s dismembered remains were discovered in the Dog River Reservoir, approximately 30 miles from Atlanta, on May 15.
Authorities confirmed Parker’s identity through DNA comparison after his father recognized his son’s tattoos. Parker, a beloved bartender at Ms. Icey’s Kitchen & Bar in Atlanta, was allegedly killed inside Baker’s $640,000 home in Douglasville, where the couple resided.
Barber and Baker, who have extensive criminal records, were arrested and pleaded not guilty in court. They are currently being held without bond. The motive behind the gruesome murder remains unclear, and investigators have not disclosed how Parker was connected to the accused couple.

Parker’s father, Charles Parker, expressed his anguish outside the court, stating, “I want them to be punished. And I don’t even think a life sentence is good enough. It’s the kind of stuff you see on TV, but I mean they… They had no remorse.”
Described as a “beautiful soul and spirit” by his loved ones, Parker was not only a bartender but also a talented musician and artist. A GoFundMe page was set up in his honor to commemorate his life and legacy.
