Happy Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream Celebrates America’s 250th Birthday
Happy Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream is gearing up for a summer-long celebration of America’s 250th birthday. The Davenport, Iowa-based restaurant chain, known for its delicious pizzas and ice cream, is set to roll out patriotic menu items, family block parties, and exciting sweepstakes to mark the nation’s semiquincentennial.
Tom Sacco, the CEO, president, and “chief happiness officer” of Happy Joe’s, expressed his excitement for the campaign, stating that it perfectly aligns with the brand’s identity. “Who’s better in this country to throw a birthday party for just regular old American folks than Happy Joe’s? Because that’s who we are,” Sacco told FOX Business.
From May 15 to August 15, guests can participate in the “Freedom Flyaway Sweepstakes” by purchasing a specialty pizza and a Mountain Dew at select locations for a chance to win one of three $3,000 trips to Washington, DC. Winners also have the option to take the cash prize instead of the trip.
In addition to the sweepstakes, Happy Joe’s is offering weekly Mountain Dew prize packs and hosting AMERICA250 Block Party events on June 29, featuring games, trivia, music, giveaways, and free slices of their red, white, and blue birthday cake pizza.
The limited-time menu includes special items like the BBQ Brisket Pizza, BBQ Chicken Pizza, and the AMERICA250 Birthday Cake with red, white, and blue frosting and sprinkles. Sacco emphasized that Happy Joe’s is focused on creating memorable dining experiences for families and celebrating milestones like America’s 250th birthday.
As part of the campaign, Happy Joe’s aims to bring families together across its markets to celebrate this significant national milestone. Sacco expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to share the celebration with hundreds of thousands of guests and their families around the country.
