Texas sisters charged with stabbing mom of 5 to death

Three young women have been charged with hacking a 32-year-old mother of five to death in broad daylight in Texas. The suspects, Kitty Mia Diaz, 21; Amaya Cookie Diaz, 19; and Kyandra Renee Faz, 21, were apprehended by the Del Rio Police Department.

The victim, Caroline “Caro” Peña, was brutally stabbed multiple times in broad daylight and rushed to Val Verde Regional Medical Center, where she arrived just after 2 p.m. local time on Thursday. Due to the seriousness of her injuries, she was transferred to a medical facility in San Antonio for emergency surgery but tragically succumbed to her wounds.

Law enforcement responded to the medical center and traced the location of the heinous attack to an address in Del Rio, a small city on the Mexican border with a population of around 35,000. The motive behind the attack has not been disclosed by the police, leaving Peña’s devastated family demanding answers.

Peña’s childhood friend, Zelina Ochoa, expressed her shock over the incident, emphasizing that the attack took place in a public area and not in a secluded location. Ochoa reminisced about her friendship with Peña, highlighting her generosity and kindness towards others.

Another close friend, Christina Salinas, recalled spending time with Peña the night before the tragic incident, cooking with her daughter. Salinas deeply regretted missing a call from Peña shortly before the confrontation, feeling that she could have prevented the outcome if she had answered the call.

The arrests of the Diaz sisters and Faz were made without incident, with one of the Diaz sisters captured on video smiling at the camera before being taken into custody. The suspects have been charged with murder and are currently in custody awaiting further legal proceedings.

The community has been left in shock by the senseless act of violence, with friends and family mourning the loss of Peña. The investigation into the motive behind the attack is ongoing as authorities work to bring justice for the victim and her loved ones.
