Nils Hartmann Steps Down as EVP of Sky Studios Italy
Nils Hartmann, the innovative producer behind many successful Italian TV series, has announced his departure from Sky Studios Italy after 23 years with the company. During his tenure as executive vice president, Hartmann played a pivotal role in bringing Italian TV to the global stage with hits such as “Romanzo Criminale,” “Gomorrah,” “The Young Pope,” and “ZeroZeroZero.”
One of Hartmann’s latest projects is the upcoming series “Gucci: Game Over,” directed by Gabriele Muccino. Described as Italy’s response to Ridley Scott’s “House of Gucci,” the series aims to showcase local talent and challenge negative stereotypes portrayed in the film.
Emanuele Marchesi, former head of development at Sky Studios Italia, will be taking over Hartmann’s position starting August 1st. He will report to Giuseppe De Bellis, Sky Italia’s EVP of sport, news, and entertainment, and work closely with Cécile Frout-Coutaz, who leads Sky Studios at the group level.
Sky Italia and Sky Group have expressed their gratitude to Nils Hartmann for his creative contributions and professionalism over the years, wishing him success in his future endeavors.
The transition in leadership at Sky Studios Italy marks a new chapter for the company as it continues to produce groundbreaking content for audiences worldwide. Stay tuned for more exciting developments from Sky Studios under the direction of Emanuele Marchesi.
