Mamdani’s anti-Italian hate makes it no surprise to see Little Italy wiped off the NYC immigrant map
Mayor’s Disdain for Italian Americans
Being of Italian descent, it’s clear to see that our mayor doesn’t have much love for Italy or its people. From his past actions like disrespecting a Columbus statue to his recent exclusion of Italians from a city map, it’s evident that there’s some underlying issue.
It’s hard to decipher what exactly goes on in Zohran Mamdani’s mind. Maybe he had a bad experience at Rao’s or with pizza, but it seems like his dislike for people like me runs deeper than just racial animosity.
His ideology seems to be rooted in cultural Marxism, which negates the Italian American experience and paints it as a falsity. This worldview divides Americans by race rather than class, focusing on oppressors versus oppressed.
Under this theory, all aspects of society are viewed through the lens of oppression, disregarding historical contexts in favor of grievances against Western civilization.
Italian American Success Stories
Italian Americans, like many other immigrant groups, faced hardships but persevered to achieve the American dream. Most Italian Americans descended from impoverished regions of Italy and were not considered “white” when they arrived in America.
Despite facing discrimination and redlining, Italian Americans thrived and became integral parts of American society. They worked hard, contributed to the growth of cities like New York, and eventually prospered.
Italians like my grandfather and uncles played a role in building the city’s infrastructure, while later generations pursued education and professional careers. The success of Italian Americans is a testament to hard work and determination, not handouts or special treatment.
Preserving Italian American History
The cultural Marxists aim to rewrite history and erase the contributions of Italian Americans from the narrative. It’s essential to resist this agenda and ensure that the true story of Italian American success and resilience is preserved for future generations.
Italian Americans have overcome adversity, embraced their identity as Americans, and thrived in a country that offered them opportunities for growth and success. Let’s not allow their story to be erased or distorted by those who seek to rewrite history for their own agenda.
