The Brownstone Brief | October 29, 2026
Georgia passed two million in-person early votes on October 27, according to an official announcement from Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. At 4:30 p.m. that day, officials reported 2,000,452 in-person ballots and 97,382 accepted absentee ballots.
By late morning October 28, CBS Atlanta reported that the number of in-person early ballots had climbed to 2,045,533, plus 100,241 accepted absentee ballots. These are time-stamped counts, not final totals.
What it means
High participation reflects voter engagement, but early turnout totals alone do not predict winners. Georgia’s in-person early voting period ends Friday, October 30, ahead of Election Day on Tuesday, November 3.
Voters should confirm local voting sites and hours at Georgia’s official My Voter Page.
