Aave Founder Stani Kulechov buys $30 million mansion in London’s Notting Hill: Bloomberg

Stani Kulechov, Founder of Aave, Purchases $30 Million Mansion in Notting Hill

Stani Kulechov, the mastermind behind the decentralized lending platform Aave, recently made headlines for purchasing a lavish five-floor mansion in London’s prestigious Notting Hill neighborhood. According to a report from Bloomberg, Kulechov splurged a whopping 22 million pounds ($30 million) on his new abode, snagging it for a cool 2 million pounds below the guide price.

Originally hailing from Russia and now a Finnish lawyer by profession, Kulechov established Aave in 2017 under the moniker ETHLend. Aave, which aims to revolutionize credit services for the digital age and not just limit itself to crypto leverage, boasts an impressive portfolio of over $50 billion in assets deposited across its various markets.

Known for his advocacy of the U.K. and Ireland as potential crypto hubs, Kulechov has been vocal about his support for regulatory clarity in the DeFi space. He recently commended the U.K. tax authority HMRC for their stance on DeFi lending protocols, affirming that using crypto as collateral does not trigger a taxable event.

Despite his high-profile purchase and entrepreneurial success, a spokesperson for Aave declined to provide immediate comment on Kulechov’s latest real estate acquisition.
