Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Points Out The Delicious Irony In Trump’s Reflecting Pool Fiasco

When asked by the MeidasTouch Network for her opinion on the aftermath of President Donald Trump’s problematic $14 million renovation project, the New York Democrat pointed out that the issues were easily foreseeable due to the current White House’s anti-science agenda.

“I mean, when you defund science research, when you lack understanding of science, it’s no surprise that they encountered problems,” she remarked.

Ocasio-Cortez then quipped: “They claimed they needed to repaint the pool, and now they’ve transformed the place into a swamp. It has literally become a swamp.”

The “swamp” in Washington, D.C., was, of course, the very thing Trump promised to eliminate throughout his presidential campaigns.
