Alleged pedophile, 39, caught red-handed by vigilante group in Central Park: cops, sources

A 39-year-old man was apprehended in Central Park by a vigilante group in a sting operation targeting alleged pedophiles. The man, identified as Ryan Rosario, was caught trying to lure what he thought was a 15-year-old girl for sexual activity. However, the girl turned out to be a 22-year-old woman posing as a teenager. The operation was orchestrated by an Instagrammer known as Ramy, who has a significant following and is dedicated to exposing predators.

The meeting between Rosario and the woman took place in the early hours of the morning at Central Park West and Columbus Circle. Fortunately, the vigilante group was on the scene, and the NYPD was promptly notified. Rosario, a resident of Bergen, New Jersey, was arrested and charged with luring a child and acting in a manner injurious to a child.

It is unclear how Rosario and the woman initially connected, but the vigilante group’s intervention prevented a potentially dangerous situation. Footage posted on Ramy’s Instagram story captured Rosario being taken into custody by the police.

Rosario has a history of previous arrests for offenses such as marijuana possession and theft of service, but he had no prior sexual offenses on record. His arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court was scheduled for later that evening.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance and community involvement in combating crimes against children. The collaboration between law enforcement and concerned citizens can help ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals in society.
