Astronomer slams ‘fake’ Andy Byron apology after Coldplay ‘kiss cam’ scandal

The tech firm refutes fake apology going viral online

The New York-based AI firm, Astronomer, home to CEO Andy Byron and his alleged HR mistress, Kristin Cabot, has quickly refuted a fake apology that has been circulating online. The statement, which claimed to be written by Byron himself with intimate apologies to his wife and children, has been confirmed as “fake” by the company.

The imposter statement, which took a somber tone and referenced Coldplay’s song “Fix You,” quickly gained traction online. However, neither Byron nor Cabot have publicly addressed the Coldplay scandal where they were caught in a loving embrace on the concert “kiss cam.”

During the concert, Chris Martin, the band’s frontman, initially thought the camera had captured a sweet moment between Byron and Cabot. However, their panicked reaction led to speculation about a less savory situation.

A TikTok video of the incident has garnered over 50 million views and 5 million likes, with Martin joking about the situation on stage.

The forged statement also expressed concerns about the invasion of privacy and the impact of turning someone else’s life into a spectacle. Social media users pointed out the suspicious behavior of the account that posted the fake statement.

Despite the scandal making headlines, Astronomer has remained silent on social media. It is unclear if the company plans to issue a statement on the matter.
