Autheo Introduces the Internet Operating System: A Decentralized Coordination Layer for Web, Blockchain, & AI

REDEFINING THE FUTURE OF THE INTERNET

With the launch of Autheo’s decentralized operating system on Mainnet, the company is poised to redefine the future of the Internet. By providing a coordination layer that allows for seamless interoperability between traditional Web services, blockchain networks, and AI agents, Autheo is paving the way for a more connected and efficient digital ecosystem.

Unlike previous efforts that focused on chain-to-chain messaging and asset transfer, Autheo’s approach addresses the problem at a deeper level by creating a shared substrate where various systems can coordinate natively. This means that applications, protocols, and agents can interact with each other without the need for complex bridging mechanisms.

One of the key features of Autheo’s operating system is its quantum-resistant trust and identity layer, which enables autonomous AI agents to securely transact and collaborate without relying on external systems. This layer, built on a foundation of post-quantum cryptography, ensures that agents can hold credentials, sign transactions, and invoke services without compromising security.

By providing a seamless integration substrate, Autheo is not only simplifying the development and deployment of decentralized applications but also opening up new possibilities for innovation and collaboration across different technological domains. With its Mainnet now live, the company is poised to revolutionize the way we think about the Internet and its potential to bring disparate systems together in harmony.

THE VISIONARY FOUNDERS AND TEAM BEHIND AUTHEO

Autheo’s journey began in July 2021 when Todd Mortenson and Scott Bayless, long-time collaborators with a shared vision for the future of the Internet, founded the company. Drawing on their decades of experience in building and operating successful ventures, Mortenson and Bayless set out to create a platform that would enable seamless coordination between Web services, blockchain networks, and AI agents.

Supported by a team of talented engineers and researchers, Autheo has spent years researching and developing its decentralized operating system, focusing on key architectural foundations such as TheoID, PQCNet, a sovereign Cosmos SDK Layer 0, and an integrated EVM-compatible Layer 1 execution environment. These foundational elements form the backbone of Autheo’s platform, providing developers with a robust and secure environment to build and deploy decentralized applications.

Under the leadership of Chief Engineering Officer Kenneth Harper, Autheo has successfully navigated through public testnet adoption and is now ready to unleash its Mainnet to the world. With a diverse team spanning multiple countries and disciplines, Autheo is well-positioned to drive innovation and collaboration in the blockchain and AI space.

As Autheo’s decentralized operating system takes center stage, the world eagerly anticipates the transformative impact it will have on the Internet and the way we interact with technology. With its focus on integration and interoperability, Autheo is set to revolutionize the digital landscape and usher in a new era of connectivity and collaboration.

Autheo recently announced the completion of independent security audits by Halborn on the testnet and CertiK on the mainnet. These audits are crucial steps in ensuring the security and integrity of the Autheo platform, which aims to revolutionize the way the internet operates by creating a decentralized coordination and execution layer that enables seamless interoperability between the traditional web, blockchain networks, and AI agents.

The collaboration with leading infrastructure, security, and ecosystem partners such as Zeeve, InfStones, Hydrex, TrustSwap, and others showcases Autheo’s commitment to building a strong and secure ecosystem for developers and users alike. The completion of these security audits demonstrates Autheo’s dedication to ensuring the safety of its network and the protection of user data and assets.

The testnet adoption for Autheo has seen significant growth since its launch in 2025, with approximately 350,000 wallets and 60,000 smart contracts being created by developers to stress-test the network. With the announcement of Mainnet Phase 1 in May 2026, adoption has accelerated even further, with cumulative wallet addresses growing more than 5 times and smart contracts growing more than 15 times. As of today, the testnet boasts over 1.8 million wallet addresses and close to 1 million smart contracts.

The daily activity on the Autheo testnet has been impressive, with an average of 30,000 new wallet addresses and 20,000 new smart contracts being created each day. This high level of activity showcases the broad range of developer use cases supported by the Autheo team and the platform’s readiness for real-world applications.

Looking ahead, Autheo’s focus is on expanding partnerships across the Web2, Web3, and AI communities and supporting builders deploying applications, agents, and protocols on the platform. Developer access to the mainnet is now live, and developers can explore the ecosystem through the testnet explorer and participate in the Core Node and Prime Node tiers for token emissions.

Autheo’s commitment to security, interoperability, and innovation positions it as a leader in the blockchain and AI space. With a strong ecosystem of partners and a growing community of developers, Autheo is set to shape the future of the internet operating system and revolutionize how we interact with technology.
