Best man at Minnesota wedding busted after allegedly shooting guest during heated scuffle
Best Man Arrested for Shooting Guest at Minnesota Wedding
A Minnesota wedding took a violent turn when the best man, Stephan James, allegedly shot a guest during a heated argument at the crowded celebration. The incident occurred at Keller Regional Park in Maplewood, just east of St. Paul, where over 100 people had gathered for the festivities, according to the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office.
The 36-year-old victim was shot in both legs during the scuffle and was rushed to Regions Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, the victim is expected to survive the injuries sustained during the shooting.
It remains unclear what sparked the altercation between James and the guest that led to the shooting. James reportedly fled the scene after the incident but was apprehended four days later. He was found in a white Chevy pickup truck in a neighborhood in the state’s capital, where police surrounded the vehicle and arrested him.
During the arrest, authorities recovered two guns from the truck, one of which was reported stolen. James is currently being held at Ramsey County jail as he awaits formal charges for the shooting incident.
